The Supreme Board of Radio and Television (RTÃœK) has fined Turkish private broadcaster CNBC-E a total of 52,951 Turkish Liras for airing an episode of the animated sitcom, ‘The Simpsons,’ where God is shown to be under the command of the Devil, daily Hürriyet reported.

 

RTÃœK argued the fine was levied due to CNBC-E “making fun of God, encouraging the young people to exercise violence by showing the murders as God's orders and encouraging them to start drinking alcohol on New Year's Eve night.”

 

“One of the characters is abusing another one's religious belief to make him commit murders. The bible is publicly burned in one scene and God and the Devil are shown in human bodies,” the expert report said.

 

In another scene, God serves coffee to the Devil, which can be considered an insult to religious beliefs, according to the expert report, which explained the motive behind the fine. 

 

“The Simpsons” is the longest-running, American sitcom and longest-running, American animated program.

 

Universal City Studios is suing three pornography companies and three other men for producing and distributing unauthorized adult movies and sex toys based on the best-selling erotic novel ’50 Shades of Grey.’

 

The film company, which owns the movie rights for the book, is arguing that the films take ‘wholesale the dialogue, characters, and storyline’ from the book and thus violate several laws.

 

The suit specifically claims copyright infringement and false advertising, among other offenses.

Universal is demanding that a California district court block the companies from continuing to produce these material, and they want them to hand over all existing copies of the films for 'destruction.' 

 

They also want all the profits made from these products as well as to be paid for their legal fees.

One of the defendants specifically named in the suit is Smash Pictures, a major pornographic company in California, which specializes in fantasy and fetish play genres. 

 

Universal states: 'By lifting exact dialogue, characters, events, story and style from the Fifty Shades trilogy, Smash Pictures ensured that the first XXX adaptation was, in fact, as close as possible to the original works.'

 

The suit claims that on numerous occasions, the company has publicly, and often proudly, stated how much they have taken from the books to put into their movie.

 

Smash Pictures has clearly noted on their website and on the back of their DVD boxes that the film is 'based upon the best selling series of books that has swept the world' and that it puts 'the kinky fantasies that you only imagined into vivid color.'

 

The lawsuit also makes specific mention of an interview Smash Pictures' vice president gave LA Weekly in which he said that the movie is 'very true to the book and its S&M themed-romance' and that the script was written 'to be as close to the series' as possible.

 

'The first XXX adaptation is not a parody, and it does not comment on, criticize, or ridicule the originals. It is a rip-off, plain and simple,' the suit goes on to say.

 

Meanwhile, a subsidiary of Smash has also been producing a 'play kit,' which features many of the elaborate sex toys featured in the book. It is called 'Fifty Shades of Pleasure.'

 

Universal has already invested quite a bit of money into the series, purchasing the rights to all three books for $5 million earlier this year. 

 

Already, they have brought on 'Social Network' producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti, and according to Deadline, Angelina Jolie has expressed interest in directing the film. Likewise,

Ryan Gosling has been named as someone to play leading man Christian Grey, while Mila Kunis is a contender to land to the role of Anastasia Steele, according to Prefix Mag.

 

The story of a 13-year-old Jewish girl who died in a Nazi concentration camp after spending two years in hiding in the attic of her father’s office, Anne Frank, will be adapted for the silver screen, exposing new archive materials.

 

The new film will be based not only on the girl's famous diary, but will also unveil extensive historical documentation provided by her family. The drama aims to tell Frank's whole story, both before and after her time in hiding, the Hollywood Reporter informed.

 

German screenwriter Fred Breinersdorfer, who penned the Oscar-nominated period drama "Sophie Scholl: The Final Days", has worked on the Anne Frank script. He reportedly used new archive material on the arrest and trial of the leader of the non-violent anti-Nazi resistance movement "The White Rose" to add detail to the historic biopic.

 

The author of one of the most famous diaries in history, Frank was one of over a million Jewish children who lost their lives in the Holocaust. Her unique diary, an outstanding collection of secret thoughts and feelings, her love crush with a boy, Peter van Daan, among them, has been translated into 55 languages. 

 

The teenage girl proved herself a fully-fledged thinker and never lost hope of being free one day. Anne and her sister Margot died of typhus in 1945, shortly before the Bergen-Belsen camp was liberated by the British troops. 

 

The story of Anne Frank has been previously adapted for big screen a number of times; one of them, The Diary of Anne Frank, won three Oscars in 1959. 

A director and cast for the new adaptation have not been set yet. Shooting is planned for next year.

Bahraini MPs failed to push through a resolution to stop U.S. reality TV star Kim Kardashian from visiting the Gulf country, a newspaper reported on Wednesday. 

 

Al Wasat News said a group of MPs, describing Kardashian as a woman with a “bad reputation,” were planning to submit a resolution for Monday’s parliamentary session to stop the 32-year-old American socialite from stepping a foot in the country. 

 

The resolution, however, couldn’t make it through the parliamentary schedule. 

 

Before Bahrain, Kardashian is due to arrive in Kuwait on Thursday to officially open her new "Millions of Milkshakes" franchise in Kuwait City, Al-Bawaba news website reported Monday.

 

On Dec. 1, Kardashian will open the same franchise in Bahrain.

 

Kardashian, recorded a video message on her official YouTube channel, expressing excitement over her Middle East travel. 

 

“It’s my first trip to Kuwait, so I can’t wait to see your beautiful city and meet everyone at The Avenues for Millions of Milkshakes on November 29.”

 

Details of her visit were also tweeted by user @KardashiansKWT, saying: “Millions of Milkshakes welcomes fans to buy a ticket to the grand opening for 150 KD. The price includes group pictures with Kim, a Q&A session with her and you will get to watch her make her own ‘Kim’ milkshake.”

Nearly four years after his infamous beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown is still paying the price.

 

The hip hop star has canceled a huge stadium show in Guyana following protests from numerous women's rights organization, AP is reporting.

 

The concert's promoter, Hits and Jams Entertainment, issued a statement Thursday saying Brown had pulled out of the date because he was "uncomfortable" with the protests.

 

Brown was scheduled to headline a show December 26 in the South American nation.

 

And although Rihanna was forgiven Brown for hitting and choking her the night before the Grammy Awards in February, 2009, -- he attended her Halloween party and has a duet on her new album -- the women of Guyana obviously have not.

 

As RadarOnline.com reported, Rihanna understands the "world hasn't let go" of what Brown did to her, but she has.

 

Brown received five years of probation, community labor and one year of domestic-violence counseling in connection with his beating of the singer.

 

 

Halle Berry's baby daddy Gabriel Aubry looked worse for wear in Los Angeles this weekend, sporting a nasty black eye only days after his Thanksgiving Day brawl with Berry’s current beau, French actor Olivier Martinez.

 

Aubry -- a 36-year-old Canadian model who briefly once dated Kim Kardashian -- and Martinez got into the dust-up at Berry’s Los Angeles home Thursday morning after he dropped off Nahla, his 4-year-old daughter with the Oscar winner.

 

Martinez, 46, was snapped Saturday with bandages around his hand from the incident, after which Aubry was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, posted a $20,000 bond and given a December 13 court date.

 

The high-profile incident has caught the attention of the L.A. County Department of Child Protective Services, who will re-open their abuse investigation into the toxic co-parenting situation between the French-Canadian hunk and the actress.

 

"Detectives from the LAPD formally contacted CPS after Gabe's arrest, because Nahla was present when the fight occurred," a source close to the situation tells Radar exclusively. "Nahla wasn't actually involved in the melee, and by all accounts, Halle whisked her out of the driveway as soon as the fight between Olivier and Gabe started. However, DCFS was contacted because there has been a history of allegations of physical abuse.

 

"Social workers will be interviewing Halle, Gabriel and Olivier about what happened on Thanksgiving. DCFS must ensure that Nahla's environment is safe."

 

The source added that Aubry "is extremely concerned about his arrest and the fallout this could have on" his daughter.

"She is his entire world and is hopeful that once the truth comes out, he won't be formally charged with any crime."

 

Security footage

 

Gabriel Aubry repeatedly asked cops to secure security footage before it was destroyed, following the brutal fight he was involved in with Halle Berry's fiance Olivier Martinez on Thanksgiving, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

 

Radaronline was first to report on the existence of the footage, which was captured on Berry's security cameras at her property, and Aubry references it in his application for a restraining order against Martinez, which was granted on Monday.

 

"I told the officers that [Martinez] was the one who attacked me, and repeatedly told them to get the security tapes from Ms. Berry's security cameras before she and Mr. Martinez deleted them," the Canadian born model writes in his sworn declaration.

 

Also included in the TRO application are shocking photos showing Aubry's battered and bloody face, and his allegation that despite him being the one arrested, it was actually Martinez who started the altercation.

 

According to the sworn declaration within his TRO application, Gabriel took his daughter Nahla to her school play the day before Thanksgiving. Halle and Olivier also went and Aubry alleges that Olivier walked up to him and whispered in French in his ear:

 

"I wish I could beat the s**t out of you right now. You're lucky we're in a school right now. We're going to take Nahla right now and you're not going to follow us."

 

The following day, Gabriel arrived at Halle’s home with Nahla around 10 a.m. Gabriel states in his declaration that contrary to their usual arrangement, Olivier was the first to come out of the door – stating that normally he is met by a nanny. Gabriel then claims in his TRO application that Olivier said: "We need to talk."

 

 

Gabriel goes on to allege that he turned his back on Olivier and walked towards his car. Gabriel then claims in the court documents that Olivier jumped off the stairs and knocked him to the ground before brutally beating him. 

 

Gabriel also claims in his sworn declaration that Olivier screamed that he has cost them $3 million in their custody battle.

 

Gabriel then claims in the court documents that Olivier took his head in his hands and slammed it on the concrete driveway and raged that the family was going to move to Paris and Gabriel should follow too or Olivier would kill him.

 

Then, Gabriel claims in his sworn declaration, Olivier said, "We called the cops," and when they arrive, "you’re going to tell them that you’re the one who attacked me, or I’m going to kill you."

 

Chris Brown has officially left Twitter. The singer gave himself the boot after getting into a nasty fight with writer and self-proclaimed “a**hole” Jenny Johnson. And it all started when Chris tweeted, “I look old as f**k! I’m only 23.”

 

Jenny responded by saying, “Being a worthless piece of s**t can really age a person” and Chris was immediately set off and the drama that unfolded has left our “*” button extremely overworked.

 

After reading her reply, Chris had some advice for Jenny. “Take them teeth out when u s*cking my d**k HOE,” he wrote. And that was just the start. Chris had several explicit comments and suggestions for Jenny who continued to press his buttons when she corrected his spelling. “It’s ‘HO’ not ‘HOE’ you ignorant f**k,” she wrote.

 

Chris told Jenny, “I should fart while ur giving me top,” but later changed the suggestion claiming his mom had a better idea. “Mom says hello… She told me not to sh*t in ur mouth, wanted me to sh*t right on the retina.” Her comedic reply? ”YOU FLIRT!!!”

 

Jenny later brought up Chris’ 2009 beating of Rihanna (who he just spent Thanksgiving with), but Chris didn’t seem to mind and wrote, “Just ask Rihanna if she mad????” It was one of his last tweets.

 

After it was all said and done, Jenny wrote, “All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that he wants to sh*t and fart on me.”

 

While the whole exchange was quite comical, at least when it comes to Jenny, it has resulted in some not so nice replies by Chris’ fans — Jenny is even getting death threats! “It’s alarming how many death threats I’m receiving via @ replies. From a renowned singer whose love songs captivated thousands of fans from all over the Arab World, Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker has been seen turning into a strict Salafi who has been said to describe singing as “haram” and love as “vice.” 

 

Earlier this year, Shaker declared his divorce of art during his participation in a demonstration in Lebanon opposing the Syrian government’s cruelty against its people, in which he was reported to announce his retirement from singing, expressing happiness that he has finally chosen “the right path.”

 

Shaker was quoted by several news agencies at the time describing himself as a repentant Muslim, despising his former career. “Singers make happiness while they’re very sad because of their distance from God.”

 

‘‘I’m a Muslim man for whom Allah has shown the right path,’’ Shaker said, during an interview with Rahma TV Channel at his house in Saida, some 50 kilometers south of Beirut. He said that he quit singing to show a strong belief that art is haram (forbidden).

 

Following his resignation from art, Shaker has been seen in many places and media outlets with a Salafi look, abhorring singing and art in general and saying that “worshipping God” is his most time spent. 

 

Recently, Shaker was seen participating in a funeral of two Lebanese Salafis who were killed during an armed clash with supporters of the Shiite Hezbollah party- militia in Sidon.

 

 

 

Shaker, who long known to the audience as a romantic artist, was seen again during the funeral with a Salafi beard, telling media outlets that his decision to quit singing was taken after several Sheikhs convinced him that art is haram (sin) and takes a man to hell. 

 

“Singing is haram and makes God angry,” Shaker was quoted as saying.

 

Besides, the Lebanese singer, who has been known also as a shy person and a sensitive artist, was also seen in a photo posted on Facebook accompanying Sheikh Ahmad Alaseer, a major Salafi leader, in a boat trip.

 

“Haj Shaker,” as he preferred to be referred to, told Al Arabiya.net that he gave most of his time to worshipping God and defending the righteous causes of people.

 

US socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian has suffered for taking the “wrong” side in the Middle East conflict during the recent upsurge of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians.

 

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old bombshell tweeted to her followers, estimated at over 16 million, that she was "praying for everyone in Israel."

 

Her comment provoked an avalanche of outrage and death threats, as one of her followers wrote "further enhancing your reputation as a dumb porn star", while another added she is "a disgrace to your people and your ancestors, educate yourself."

 

About five minutes after her first tweet, Kardashian backtracked, adding that she was actually "praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!" However, this served to unleash a new tirade of angry tweets and death threats.

 

According to Twitchy.com, which collects and archives deleted tweets, the brunette eventually deleted both of her comments, in favor of Israel and then pro-Palestine. As one of her followers remarked: "she takes back her tweets faster than her marriages!" 

 

In the long run, Kardashian directed an army of her fans to a "message for you guys", created on her blog.

 

"I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize," Kardashian explained.

 

"I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them. The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didn't choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution.

 

I also pray for all the other people around the world who are caught in similar crossfires."

 

After she got rid of her “military” tweets, Kardashian happily returned to her favorite Twitter topics, fashion and showbiz, exposing a picture of herself in tiny sexy shorts.
