Amber Heard leaves Johnny Depp for another woman

  • PDF

altAmber Heard and Johnny Depp have split after Heard fell for another woman, reports The Sun.

The British tabloid says the bisexual Heard dumped Depp and headed straight for the arms of Marie de Villepin. De Villepin, a model, is the daughter of former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.

Heard reportedly broke up with Depp, 49, earlier this month. She has since been photographed in Paris with de Villepin.

If true, the split seems ill-timed, to say the least: Heard and Depp snapped up a $16 million mansion only last month.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009. After Depp split from longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, it wasn’t long before rumors of a relationship with Heard began to circulate.

Heard seemed enamored by Depp after working with him, describing him as “a wonderful presence; [...] enigmatic and compelling and a true artist, seriously intelligent and incredibly sensitive. She added:

“Everybody on set respects and likes him, which says a lot about an actor. It’s a grueling job at times and the stress level that everybody feels in the industry is intense – but it doesn’t affect Johnny. It seems like he has time to look everybody in the eye and I like that, it was wonderful to see.”

It’s fair to say Paradis was not terribly impressed with Depp’s 26-year-old co-star. She allegedly dubbed Heard a “a man-stealing, two-bit nobody”.

Depp and Paradis split in June 2012 after 14 years together, prompting Paradis to state that “nobody knows the truth” behind the break-up as she doesn’t “sell her private life”. She added:

“Nowadays, people speculate, but nobody knows! I have my children to protect… There are children involved, so it’s really no-one’s business but the family.”

Prince Albert II of Monaco criticises Grace Kelly film

  • PDF

altPrince Albert II of Monaco has criticised the upcoming Hollywood film about his mother, Grace Kelly, saying it is historically inaccurate.

The prince and his sisters released a statement after producers told a French magazine the Palace had supported the film, starring Nicole Kidman.

The Palace said the film contained "major historical untruths and a series of purely fictional scenes".

The film, titled Grace of Monaco, is due for release next year.

"The Princely family wishes to emphasise that this film is by no means a biopic," the statement said.

"It recounts one rewritten and needlessly 'glamorised' page in the history of the Principality of Monaco and its family."

The film follows the High Society actress in 1962 after she married Prince Rainier III, becoming Princess Grace.

It is said to focus on a six-month period when Monaco was in a heated tax dispute with France and director Alfred Hitchcock offered the former actress a chance to return to acting.

The Palace said it had been "surprised" when it received the script for the film, as it had "in no way been associated with this project".

It added it had submitted to producers a number of requests for changes, however they were not all taken into consideration.

"The Palace of Monaco cannot accept that the producers of this film imply they have received Their Highnesses' support in any way whatsoever, since this is not the case," the statement concluded.

The film's producer, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, told AFP the production was meant to be a work of fiction.

"The palace was aware of the script and made requests for changes. We took most of their remarks into account, but not all," he said.

"The film is not intended to tell the true story of the principality," he added.
