Qatari owners of Harrods to launch luxury hotel chain across the world under the London store's name

The Qatari owners of Harrods are planning to launch a line of hotels under the name of the famous luxury London store. 

Qatar Holding said in a statement today that it aims to open Harrods hotels in several cities, including London, New York and Paris. 

It said it signed a deal yesterday with Malaysian property developer Jerantas to study the launch of a Harrods hotel in the capital of the Southeast Asian country, Kuala Lumpur.
