Bardal Thumb Medium270 152Norway's Anders Bardal was awarded victory in Sunday's Ski Jumping World Cup competition in Bad Mitterndorf, following the disqualification of Austria's Gregor Schlierenzauer’s for wearing an illegal suit. The controversial disqualification came after the Austrian favourite had to repair his suit with safety pins and tape before his final jump, also causing a long delay.

That meant that Bardal was moved to the top of the podium with 364.9 points, after leaps of 197.5m and 183.5m, with Japan’s Daiki Ito, who was leader after the first round having jumped 209.0m, second with an overall total of 363.3.
