Free Syrian Army key operations:
       Killed at least 50 army soldiers throughout the country.
       Captured the People’s Army headquarters and an arms container in Aleppo.
       Captured the Idlib suburb of Kafrenbol along with two armoured units and a military tank.
       Shot down an MIG fighter jet in Idlib and a helicopter gunship in the Damascus suburb of Deir Asafi.
       Attacked the artillery base in the town of Mayadin in
       Destroyed a military tank in the Damascus suburb of al-Tal.
Summary of Events
Mass protests broke out today throughout the country, with citizens calling for the international community to provide rebel fighters with anti-aircraft missiles in order to combat the regime's increasing use of aerial attacks.

Heavy clashes continued in the neighbourhood of Saladin and spread into the neighbourhood of Hamadaniya, where regime forces withdrew completely. More than 45 unidentified bodies were found near Khalid Bin Waleed mosque in the neighbourhood of Saladin, while an artillery fire hit a bakery in the neighbourhood of al-Bab Road and killed approximately a dozen people and wounded more than 20 others who were queued for bread. Meanwhile, regime forces continued bombarding several neighbourhoods and towns, leaving more than 30 people dead and dozens more wounded while destroying scores of houses amid a mass exodus from the city.

The Free Syrian Army seized power of the Idlib suburb of Kafrenbol and shot down an MIG fighter jet near the town of Ariha. Civilians continued to flee their homes as regime troops bombarded the town of Kafrouma and the villages of Jesser Ashughour and Sahl al-Rouj, leaving scores of people dead and many others wounded.

Regime forces raided the neighbourhoods of Qabun and Maidain in Damascus, while it continued its heavy bombardment in the towns of Hamouriya, Jesrin, Deir Asafir, Artouz, Zabadani, Rankous, al-Tal, Saqba, Kafarbatna, Maliha and Zabdin, killing several people and destroying dozens of houses.

Regime forces resumed attacks on the neighbourhoods of Khaldiya and Bab Houd in the city of Homs as well as its provincial towns of Rastan and Qsair, leaving scores of people dead and wounded while destroying many houses. They also resumed shelling several neighbourhoods in Hama city and its provincial town of Karnaz, as well as the villages of Jabal Shahshabo and Sahel al-Ghab. Troops shelled the Daraa suburbs of Alma, Dael, Taffas, Bosra, Ma’arbeh and Sharea along with carrying out sweeps, arbitrary arrests, looting and arson in the towns of Izraa and Inkhel. They also resumed shelling the city of Deir Azzour and its provincial towns of Abu Kamal, Quriya and the village of Bouleil. They shelled the village of Rabea, Dweirshan and Jankeil in the province of Latakia and carried out sweeps and arbitrary arrests in the neighbourhood of Ghweran in the city of Hasaka.
he United States on Friday said it plans new sanctions against the Syrian regime and its supporters, including Lebanon's Hezbollah militants and the Syrian state oil company.
