Brisbane police are hunting a serial flasher and bum-grabber who they believe has committed at least seven daylight sexual assaults on women walking at Inala and Durack, west of Brisbane. Detectives have released two comfits of the man from two different witnesses which they hope will help the public identify the sexual deviant.
An 18-year-old woman was walking on Inala Avenue between Avocet St and Starling St at Inala around 9am on April 17 when she was approached by a man who grabbed her inappropriately from behind and ran off. Police said the man walked in a westerly direction on Inala Avenue before he called out to the woman and exposed himself. He was wearing a navy blue shirt and grey shorts at the time.
In a separate frightening incident on Sunday, a 23-year-old woman was walking on a pathway off Durrang St at Durack when she was grabbed from behind by a man around 2pm. Police said that when the woman screamed for help, the man who assaulted her put his hand over her mouth. She managed to struggle free and fled the man. The man was wearing a white baseball cap, a dark-coloured t-shirt with light-coloured stripes and grey, knee-length shorts.
In a third related incident, police said a 22-year-old woman was walking through a park on Inala Avenue at Durack on Monday when she was approached by a man who flashed himself at her.
The woman ran for help.
A QPS spokesman said detectives believed the assaults may have been committed by the same man. The man is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 25-years-old, 175-185cm tall with a proportionate build, black hair and a light brown complexion. TOT News
