Jordan Powers, 18, told ABC News that when her now former boyfriend, Christopher Hooker, called her from jail she told him, "We're done." Hooker, 41, was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing a different student more than a decade ago. After being booked on one count of oral copulation with a minor, he made a brief court appearance during which a judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Powers and Hooker moved in together in February, with Powers dropping out of James Enochs High School in Modesto and Hooker quitting his teaching job there and leaving his wife and three children.

The two appeared on a number of national talk shows and in interviews, and maintained they didn't have a sexual relationship until she turned 18. Yet, police are still investigating whether there was inappropriate contact before that.

"I lost my senior year. I gave up all my friends at high school because they didn't agree with me," she said.

Meanwhile, the teen's mother, Tammie Powers, said that after Hooker was arrested, she helped her daughter move out of the small apartment the two shared.

The mother and daughter have left for an undisclosed location out of the area. "She is safe, and I'm glad of that, and I'm elated that he's in custody," Tammie Powers told the newspaper.

Hooker was released from the Stanislaus County Jail after posting $50,000 bail, the newspaper reported.
