A nationwide strike in the construction industry was avoided when the two sides reached agreement on Saturday, after arbitration 8.5 hours on overtime. The new wage agreement covers a little over 7000 employees in the construction industry and builders' supplies stores.

The new agreement means an increase of NOK 1.25 per hour, the right to paternal leave, as well as a few adjustments to the minimum salary agreement.
