A nationwide strike in the hotel and restaurant industry was avoided early Thursday morning,
after the two sides reached agreement following arbitration 8 hours on overtime.
The union had warned that 2384 employees would be called out on strike in a first step, if a new agreement was not reached.
The new agreement includes a new higher minimum wage scale and several other wage adjustments.
