Norway high ranking among sports nations

Norway has been ranked 8th among the world's best sports nations by the German magazine Sport Bild, Europe's biggest sports magazine with a circulation of almost half a million.
Norway ranks highest among the smaller nations.
The US has been ranked the best sports nation, followed by China and Germany. Russia, Canada, France and Great Britain. All nations with a population at least seven times higher than Norway.
Sweden has been ranked 15th and Denmark 34th.
