    Thirteen migrants die in ferry collision off Turkish coast

    Sept.20, Ankara: At least 13 migrants, including children, have died and dozens other missing after their boat collides with a ferry off Turkish coast.

    The accident happened close to the port of Canakkale. The boat was on its way to the Greek island of Lesbos. The bodies of the 13 migrants have been brought to the Turkish port city of Canakkale on Sunday.

    In another incident, Greek coastguard said that 26 people were feared missing from a boat, also off Lesbos.

    Meanwhile, the Libyan coastguard said that it rescued 215 refugees from two boats in the Mediterranean on Sunday, including more than 50 women, a day after Italy said over 4,500 people were saved off Libya.

    On Saturday, a five-year-old girl died and 13 people were feared missing after their boat also sank off Lesbos.

    Trips between Turkey and Greek islands are frequent and dangerous for migrants, many of whom are fleeing conflict in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
