The Oslo Times condemns the barbarian and savage attack in France: Hatef Mokhtar, Editor-in-chief
Nov 16, Oslo:The Oslo Times strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday and mourns the victims who lost their lives. These horrific attacks in Paris are crimes against humanity and prove that we still require more international support to counter terrorism. It’s not just Paris that mourns this act of cowardice carried out by the attackers.
There is no community or group that has been left unharmed by this violence. These extremists know no faith; they act to accomplish their own selfish missions, they neither cared nor will ever care about the people they supposedly represent.
If they cared about humanity or the humanitarian crisis the middle-east is facing because of them, they would have never allowed so many people to suffer, they wouldn’t kill innocent people.
It is therefore crucial to refrain from incitement to hatred and violence against innocent people in the aftermath of these attacks. The response to hate must not be hate, it should be solidarity and respect for the rule of law.
There is no crime greater than for an eye, this starts a vicious and never ending cycle of hate that is almost impossible to break free from. The world must join hands together and end this hatred against humanity to restore peace.
Let peace prevail.
