    Swiss Police on man hunt after five people injured in attack

    July 24, Bern: The Police are on a manhunt in the Swiss town of Schaffhausen after an armed assailant injured five people, two seriously, in a violent attack on Monday.


    SRF News reports stated that parts of the old town are sealed off due to a "special situation," citing police.
    Police say five people are injured and they are searching for the perpetrator. They were alerted to the scene just after 10.30 am local time.

    Ambulance teams and police are on the scene and rescue helicopters are circling overhead, according to a police spokesperson.

    Swiss outlet Blick reported that the attacker was carrying a chainsaw, according to eyewitnesses but this has not been confirmed by police.
