Several Turkish soldiers killed in Hakkari province
Sept.7, Ankara: A major attack carried out by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has killed several Turkish soldiers in an attack in Hakkari province. There is no account of official casualty in the attack.
Turkish military had immediately scrambled fighter jets to strike PKK targets after Sunday's ambush in the country's southeast.
In a statement the PKK has described the attack as an act of sabotage and ambushed the convoy near Daglica village in Yuksekova district of Hakkari, close to Turkey's borders with Iran and Iraq.
