Over 350 people injured and 90 killed in Kabul bomb blast
May 31, Kabul: Over 90 people have been killed and more than 380 people have been injured in a powerful car bomb blast that ripped through a diplomatic district in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, an Afghan health official has said.
And according to officials the death toll is likely to rise, local officials said, the blast, which is believed to have come from a car bomb, affected the German, French, Indian, and Iranian embassies.
The precise target was not immediately clear, but many embassies and government buildings are located in the same area, the local media have stated that the explosion occurred on 14th Street in the Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood and it destroyed more than 50 vehicles in the area.
No group has taken responisibility for the attack yet and the toll is expected to rise, according to reports.
