Novelist Jackie Collins dies at 77
Sept.20, Los Angeles: The novelist Jackie Collins has died of breast cancer in Los Angeles, her family said in a statement. She was 77.
The statement said that, "it is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one-of-a-kind mother."
The British-born writer, Collins's career spanned four decades and she sold more than 500 million books in 40 countries. The writer lived "a wonderfully full life", adored by family, friends and readers, the family statement said.
She was diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer six-and-a-half years ago, according to US celebrity magazine People.
