    Nepal Constituent Assembly endorses New Constitution

    Sept.16, Kathmandu: The Constituent Assembly of Nepal has approved the new constitution of Nepal. Two third of the members of the CA have passed the Constitution of Nepal 2015 bill on Wednesday. 

    The Constitution Bill was passed with 507 votes and 25 votes were cast against it. The Madeshi CA members have remained absent from voting. 

    The meeting has decided to pass all 302 Articles of the new constitution.

    CA chairman Subhas Chandra Nembang announced the approval of the constitution.   The CA meeting began voting on the Constitution Bill and amendment proposals of the articles since Sunday despite protests from several Madhes-based parties.
