Multiple explosions go off near Iraqi Embassy in Kabul followed by gunfire
July 31, Kabul: Atleast two powerful blasts shook downtown Kabul as multiple explosions reportedly went off near the Iraqi Embassy on Monday.
According to eyewitness acounts, multiple gun shots were also immediately heared after the blasts.
Similarly, the Afghan police told reporters that the car bomb had exploded outside the Iraqi embassy, followed by an attempt by gunmen to enter the building, which is located in the center of the Afghan capital.
No one has taken responsibility for the attack, though both the Taliban and an Islamic State affiliate have previously carried out such attacks in Kabul. so far no casualties have been reported
