Migrant crisis leads tensions in Balkans

Oct.19, Croatia: Thousands of migrants are moving to Europe through Balkan states as tensions built to accommodate them. As Croatia would soon run out of rooms in the transit camps and have asked its neighbour Slovenia to accept 5,000 migrants daily. But Slovenia has agreed to accept half the number.

Slovenia's Interior Ministry State Secretary Bostjan Sefic said  it cannot accept unlimited migrants as the number of migrants would reach to 35,000 in 10 days time, which is unacceptable.

These asylum seekers are travelling north through the Balkans to to reach Austria, Germany and other EU states. Hungary has already closed its border with Serbia and Croatia citing security reasons.
