Hundreds of migrant break the police line in Hungary

Sept.8, Budapest: Hundreds of asylum seekers have broken past the Hungarian police line and are heading towards Budapest.  They passed through the refugee center near southern border with Serbia

About 300 are on a motorway, escorted by police. Some later reportedly agreed to be bussed to a reception centre.

There were no resistance from police officers as about half of the 500-strong crowd reached the M5 highway that connects Serbia and Hungary.

Police merely walked beside them as a lone helicopter monitored the marchers' progress north as darkness fell. The highway was blocked for nearly 50km as a precaution.
