German police close Essen shopping mall due to terrorist attack threat
Mar 11, Berlin: A shopping center in the German city of Essen has been shut down by police after they received information of an imminent terrorist attack, according to local media.
"The current state of our investigations points to the threat being exclusively at the shopping center," local police said in a statement as cited by DPA news agency.
“Police are now intensively trying to clarify the nature of the threat using numerous specialists. Ongoing investigations currently prohibit the disclosure of further details due to the ongoing investigation,” local media reports said
