     Sierra Leone Deputy high commissioner kidnapped in Nigeria

    July 2 (Abuja): Sierra Leone Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria Retired Major General Nelson Williams have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

    He was picked by his abductors on Friday morning on his way from Abuja, Nigeria's capital to Kaduna to attend the graduation ceremony of Senior Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College(AFCSC).

    There are no official comment from the government but there were report  that his abductors were already demanding for 40  million US dollars before they set him free.

    Kaduna Kaduna State Public Relations Officer SP Zubairu Abubakar did'nt answer calls put to his phone by Oslo Times Correspondent.

    Kidnapping for ransom is becoming common in Nigerian, even though authorities always claimed to be on top of the situation.
