Nigeria: Police confirms abduction of Canadians, Americans in Kaduna

Nigerian Police command confirm the report that four foreigners were abducted by Gunmen in Kaduna State Northwest part of the country. The victims were two Americans and two Canadians. They were abducted along Jere -Kagarko highway in Kagarko local government area of the state. The gunmen also killed two police men attached to the expatriates when they were ambushed. The state Police Command Public Relations ASP Muktar Husaini who confirmed the incident said already investigation has commenced to locate the victims. Earlier an indigene of the area said the gunmen ambushed the vehicle conveying the foreigners along the Jere-Kargarko road at about 7pm on Tuesday night while they were returning to Abuja from Kafanchan. According to him, the two policemen who were attached to the vehicle were shot dead during an exchange of gun fire with the gunmen, who later took away the four foreigners to an unknown destination.
