    Bangladesh Achieved the Highest digital Award ASOCIO-2018 from Japan

    Bangladesh achieved the highest digital award from Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) Digital Summit, Japan on 6th November 2018.

    Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) got the award under outstanding ICT company award category, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) got award under outstanding user organization category, Development of National ICT Infra-Network for Bangladesh Government project (Info Sarker) got digital government award and Daffodil International University got ICT education award.

    Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh along with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) executive director Parthapratim Deb and Daffodil Japan IT managing director Toru Okazaki received the awards on behalf of respective organizations.

    Dr. Bikarna Ghosh said to us that this is the first time Bangabandhu Satellite achieved international awards. Bangladesh has become a role model under the leadership and direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ICT adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy and the ICT sectors we are doing good, hopefully, within a soon, our youth will be employed and a huge amount of foreign currency will earn from this sector.
    In reaction to getting the awards, many organizations and people are shared their feeling with joy like Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) engineer Subrata Sarker said it is undoubtedly a great achievement for Bangladesh.

    On 12th November A team Members Mostafa Jabbar, Minister Telecommunications and Information Communication Technology (ICT) Dr. Bikarna Ghosh, Chief Executive, Bangladesh Computer Council, Ms. Juyana Aziz, Telecommunications and Information Communication Technology (ICT) handover the Award to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
