Apple soaks up to cyber attacks in China
Sept 21,Beijing: Apple has come under cyber attack in China as a number of popularly used apps apparently were infected with malicious codes giving hackers access to user details.
According to reports, the hackers created fake versions of Apple's software and got it uploaded on the app store. Once users download these apps the apps send user information to servers controlled by the hackers. In a statement Cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks - which has analysed the malware XcodeGhost, said that the hackers would also be able to send fake alerts to infected devices to trick their owners into revealing information.
It added they could also read and alter information in compromised devices' clipboards, which would potentially allow them to see logins copied to and from password management tools.
