Air France strike leads 10% flights cancellation

July 29, Paris: Dur to strike by cabin crew, air France has cancelled 10 percent of its long-distance flights Friday, during a period of high traffic due to summer vacations.

The company also cancelled 25 percent of European flights to and from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport and 15 percent of domestic flights, reports said.

Two unions have called for Air France cabin crew members to go on strike from July 27 to Aug. 2. They are protesting against further decreases in the number of crew members and to call for better working conditions.

Air France flights operated by other companies, including HOP!, KLM and Delta, are not affected by the strike.
