IS claims killing two Chinese nationals in Pakistan

June 10, Islamabad: The Islamic State claims it has killed two Chinese nationals who were abducted from south-west Pakistan by armed men in late May.

Amaq, the Isis news agency, made the claim in an Arabic statement on the Telegram messaging app, on Saturday.According to local media reports at the time of the abduction, armed men took the couple as they left the town center. Another Chinese woman had managed to escape the confrontation. Pakistan had launched a raid on IS positions last week in the hunt for the Chinese nationals.

Beijing has  shown deep concern over the IS claim that they have killed the Chinese teachers in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan,  where China is investing over $55bn-plus for a infrastructure programme being developed by the two countries.
